"As part of the Society of Architectural Historians 2021 Virtual Conference, The SAH Asian American & Diasporic Architectural History (AA&D) Affiliate Group convened a roundtable and workshop concerning practical and ethical challenges faced by emerging and established scholars doing community-engaged research, scholarship and teaching.
Selected by AA&D co-chairs and moderators Gail Dubrow and Sean McPherson, emerging and mid-career scholars produced and shared a 10-minute video presentation on their work that raised a question or issue for further discussion by a panel of community-engaged scholars and community activists.
The panelists who provided feedback in the public forum included:
Dr. Fallon Aidoo (University of New Orleans Department of Planning & Urban Studies)
Dr. Lynne Horiuchi (Independent Scholar, Oakland, CA);
Camille Mays (Founder and Co-Director of Peace Garden Project MKE, Milwaukee, WI);
Dr. Arijit Sen (University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee School of Architecture & Urban Planning);
Dr. Mary Corbin Sies (University of Maryland School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation)."
