Studio RxP is a multi-disciplinary consulting firm that serves cities, communities and cultural institutions endangered by chronic risks (e.g. flooding) and acute threats (e.g. speculative development). Founded in 2019 by Fallon Samuels Aidoo, STUDIO RxP builds on 20 years of experience in the fields of architecture, planning and engineering to bridge the gap between hazards mitigation and heritage preservation.

STUDIO RxP IN BRIEF

The work of Studio RxP brings research on threats to real estate in the past to bear on the most pressing concerns for their future. Studio RxP specializes in linking cultural heritage and community assets to capital and caretakers—from governmental stakeholders to grassroots stewards. We produce preservation plans and perform heritage surveys for communities and institutions of every type and scale. We specialize in nominations for listing on the National Register of Historic Places and National Historic Landmarks, and updates to older nominations with new-age Historic Resource Surveys, Multiple Property Inventories, and Cultural Landscape Surveys. Our methodologies of historical and architectural documentation vary from archival research to oral history, GIS mapping to photogammetry (drone photography processing). Our work can be found wherever the built environment and the organizations responsible for it would benefit from prescriptions for sustainability and viability.

StudioRxP has built capacity, generated revenue and made an impact on sprawling settlements and singular spaces of New Orleans, New Jersey, and New England. Our recent projects and clients include:

RxP@Univ extends the work of STUDIO RxP to nonprofits, low-margin business owners and public sector clients in need of cutting-edge research design and design research. StudioRxP principals have worked extensively within academia (part-time and full-time), training the next generation and mid-career design, development, planning and preservation professionals to safeguard intangible qualities and tangible assets of historic sites, neighborhoods, corridors, districts in partnership with diverse stewards and stakeholders.
